This policy explains what information GrowReadLearn (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit growreadlearn.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language.
Who we are
GrowReadLearn is a digital publication available at growreadlearn.com. For any privacy question or request described below, contact us at hello@growreadlearn.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the correspondence.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers and service providers record technical data when you load a page: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and understand how it is used in aggregate.
Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We and our partners use them for essential site functions, for measurement, and for advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and through the consent tool described below.
Advertising
GrowReadLearn is funded by advertising. We work with Google and other advertising partners to display ads on the site, including through Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising from many other vendors at optout.aboutads.info, optout.networkadvertising.org and youronlinechoices.eu.
Advertising partners act as independent controllers of the data they collect through our site, and their own privacy policies govern that processing. Google’s is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how readers find and use the site — which articles are read, how long people stay, and which pages are not working well. This tells us about audiences in aggregate, not about you as an identified individual. Google’s practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Your consent choices
Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and we apply the rules that correspond to the region you are visiting from. Our consent banner lets you accept, refuse or configure categories of cookies, and you can change your choice at any time by reopening the consent settings.
Consent signals are passed to our advertising partners, including through Google’s consent framework, so that advertising is personalized only where you have permitted it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent you previously gave. Residents of some jurisdictions also have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@growreadlearn.com. We will respond within the time limit set by the applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Data retention and transfers
We keep technical logs and analytics data only for as long as it is useful for the purposes described above, and correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request. Our service providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own; where required, transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the applicable law.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our articles link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read the policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised; material changes will be highlighted on the site.
